Wind Holds at Heavenly: Wind patterns may vary across the mountain by terrain, direction of the lift and from the top of the mountain to the base of the mountain. Due to high-winds, a lift may be placed on wind hold. This means that the lift may remain closed for a period of time or it may open later in the day if the weather conditions change. Lift status updates are provided by our dispatch team on our Twitter account @HVconditions.
Conditions
Snowmaking is able to cover 60% of Heavenly's trails.
Our famous grooming team uses 15 Prinoth Bison X Snowcats, ensuring the best snow surface conditions in Lake Tahoe.
