Lift Tickets & Ski School

Buy your lift tickets online and get the lowest price guaranteed! Epic Day Lift Tickets purchased 7 days or more in advance offer the largest savings.  You can even buy tickets up to midnight the day before you plan to ski/snowboard, and you’ll still receive a discount off the ticket window price.

Don’t forget, Epic Day lift tickets can also be re-loaded onto your card online; letting you save money while also skipping the ticket window line.

Heavenly Mountain & Weather

Natural snow can never be guaranteed, however our on-mountain teams take pride in providing the very best conditions available throughout the season regardless of what mother nature provides. Between the combination of natural snow, man made snow and expert grooming, you’ll be sure to have an Experience of a Lifetime while skiing or riding on Heavenly Mountain.
Heavenly offers the most terrain available at any ski resort in Tahoe with 4,800 acres of skiable terrain ranging from beginner, "Green" groomed runs to medium expertise "Blue" runs, to the expert runs like The Face and Mott Canyon. There is something for everyone at Heavenly!
Heavenly is located 6,540 feet at the base to 10,067 feet at the summit above sea level! That makes for world-class snow, but it also means that some visitors may experience flu-like symptoms triggered by high altitude. Prior to your arrival, be sure to hydrate your body by in taking fluids such as water, coconut water or other non-sugary beverages. The climate is quite dry in Vail and getting this head start will help significantly. Please make sure to allow your body time to adjust to the attitude especially if you are traveling from sea level. Drink plenty of water, eat and watch your alcohol intake.
When you come to ski in South Lake Tahoe, plan to bring multiple layers of clothing as the weather can change without notice. Start with a fitted, breathable, non-cotton base layer, then build outward and top it off with a fleece that can be worn under a waterproof shell jacket. Also include extra warm, non-cotton socks, waterproof mittens or gloves, hats or scarves, and a pair of water and windproof pants. For additional warmth and protection, a good set of goggles, and of course a helmet, are also highly recommended. If you are missing any of these items, don't worry, there are many great shops in Heavenly that sell all of these items.
Typically, January through March are the months when Heavenly experiences the most snowfall. Natural snow can never be guaranteed. However, our on-mountain teams take pride in providing the very best conditions available throughout the season regardless of what mother nature provides.

Transportation

There are car rentals and shuttles at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Our destination experts can help you reserve South Tahoe Airporter, our preferred shuttle service that offers frequently scheduled departures from Reno-Tahoe International Airport.  We can also assist with rental cars provided by Hertz.
Parking during the day is free at either our California Base Lodge or Stagecoach Lodge. There is no free overnight parking and parking rates at the town parking structures or in various condos and hotels start at $25 a day.

Lodging Deals & Packages

To secure the best availability on lodging for your next vacation to Heavenly, we encourage you to finalize your reservation as early as July. As we get closer to the start of the season in mid-November, rates tend to increase while the depth of options available tend to decrease. This is especially true for busy periods such as Christmas and New Year's dates.
Overall, chances are that you will find better rates when booking a stay between Sunday through Thursday, when most people are in school or at work. This can change during popular times such as Christmas, New Year's, Martin Luther King Day, and President's Week.
EARLY SEASON - Celebrate early snow and be among the first on the mountain. With no waiting at the lift and wide open rooms, early season is a savings jackpot. 
HOLIDAYS - Get a head start on your holiday. This is the best time to enjoy Heavenly's festive holiday atmosphere while lodging rates are still heavily discounted.
