Should I make a reservation for a Private Lesson?
Yes, in order to have the best chance of guaranteeing the right instructor/start time for your needs, it is a good idea to book early. Private Lesson requests can be made online or over the phone.
How many people can join in my Private Lesson?
Our 6-hour Private Lesson price includes up to 6 people; our 3-hour Private Lesson price includes up to 2 people. Each additional student you add to the lesson will be charged an additional fee.
We recommend that you keep a maximum 6:1 ratio between students and instructor. The fewer people in the lesson, the more one-on-one instruction you will get. Each additional student you add to the lesson will be charged an additional fee.
Can I split a Private Lesson between people?
Yes, you may split up a Private Lesson between people in your group for that day. However, you may not split up private lesson hours over multiple days. Example: if you have 2 people in your group for a 6-hour lesson, you can have the instructor teach one student for a few hours, then teach the other student for the rest of the time. Remember - if you have more than the allotted number of people in the Private Lesson, an additional person fee will be applied even though the lesson is split up.
What ability levels can you teach in a Private Lesson?
We are able to teach all ability levels in Private Lessons. However, if you have multiple people who would like to stay together in one class, we will always stay on terrain that is comfortable for the person with the lowest ability level (for safety reasons). If this is the case, you may want to book another instructor for the different levels, or split up the day.
Can I have skiers and snowboarders in my Private Lesson?
Private Lessons must be for all Skiers or all Snowboarders. It is very difficult for an instructor on skis to teach a snowboarder, and vice versa.
What ages do you teach Private Lessons?
We can teach all ages in a Private Lesson. We do recommend that children are at least 3 years old. For children under 4, you may need to bring your own equipment as we have limited size ranges for boots and equipment.
