Yes. All participants are required to show up each week with a valid lift ticket or a Season Pass. If you wish to purchase a pass that provides additional benefits and access to other Vail Resorts please consider an EPIC Local or EPIC Season Pass. Program prices do not include your child’s season pass.

Season passes must be purchased separately. We recommend purchasing your child’s season pass as soon as possible to ensure the lowest price.

Rental equipment, including a helmet, is available to add-on for certain programs. Please call Heavenly Sports Equipment Rental at (530) 542-5135 for current package pricing and availability.

If you are choosing to bring your own ski or snowboard equipment please remember to confirm fit and perform any necessary pre-season maintenance to set your child up for success.

All participants in Developmental Programs must wear a helmet designed for skiing or snowboarding. Helmets are available for rent through our Children's Ski and Snowboard School for your convenience, and all rental packages associated with lessons include a helmet as part of the rental.

While helmets may reduce or mitigate the severity of some head injuries, their use does not guarantee safety and will not prevent certain injuries. The Resort reminds you that every winter sport participant shares responsibility for his or her safety and for that of others using the ski area facilities. Always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing and snowboarding that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Know your ability level and stay within it. Become familiar with and observe "Your Responsibility Code" and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.

Children in full-day programs (Comets Team and Development Team) will be provided with lunch. Coaches have the flexibility to eat lunch in the ski school cafeteria or at one of the Heavenly mountain lodges. Please provide allergy and dietary concerns.

It is not recommended that children carry school-sized backpacks or fanny packs due to the increased forward position that it creates when your child is riding a chairlift.
