If you are a beginner you can enjoy easy groomed runs and easy to load lifts and gondolas. Experts can explore the back country like terrain and tree runs on the Nevada side of Heavenly. Summer Mountain Resort

In the heart of the South Lake Tahoe, surrounded by some of the best summer recreation in the country, Heavenly Resort is an awesome base of operations for spring and summer vacations. A few of the many activities you can do include hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, or water skiing with fine dining, nightlife and Nevada casino entertainment. From shorter day trips to longer vacations you can customize your trip to suit your needs.

At the Desolation Wilderness and Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park there is no end to the mountain sports potential in South Lake Tahoe. The 150 mile Tahoe Rim Trail rings the lake and has many trailheads and day hikes and backpack trips for you to explore.

Lake Tahoe offers many water sports including water skiing, sailing, parasailing and kayaking. The clear blue waters of the lake are also great lake fishing territory.

Lake Tahoe Travel

A remote mountain resort secluded and private would be ideal, but for those of us without a private helicopter and a month of vacation, we need highways, plowed roads, and city amenities when we go on a mountain vacation. Heavenly Mountain Resort is within an hour of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and 2 hours of the Sacramento International Airport. It's also just off 3 major US Highways and interstates that are open year round, so it's easy and cheep to get to Tahoe from all over the world. If you need more seclusion on your Tahoe vacation, you can explore the back roads that vary from the scenic Monitor Pass road to the rugged Rubicon Jeep Trail.
